Manchester Depot Upgrade

Businesses in the Manchester area will get an even better service from us following a full upgrade of our local Waste Transfer Facility. Customers will now be able to take advantage of the enhanced services and an increased storage capacity of 333m³ (333,000L) which is geared towards oil treatment and recovery. The site has also recently been awarded a Pollution Prevention and Control (PPC) permit.

Kathleen Jones, Manager of the Manchester Waste Transfer Facility, said: “The upgrade means that we’ve now got the capacity to store and process more waste in an environmentally responsible way. We can consign, package, label and dispose of most types of waste from single drums
of chemicals to bulk quantities of liquid waste via tankers, which means greater flexibility for our customers.”

As with all Adler and Allan services, the Manchester Waste Transfer Facility is on call 24 hours a day to deal with emergency jobs including the safe collection of hazardous waste.
