Adler and Allan were requested to undertake a site audit and production of an environmental risk assessment and containment strategy for the housing of many oil fed generators upon a floating barge on the River Lea.
Adler and Allan attended site with LOCOG and undertook and in-depth site audit and survey of the site to compile an environmental risk assessment and containment strategy to fulfil Environment Agency requirements, allowing subsequent consent for the housing of fuel driven generators upon the River Lea. The generators and their specific location were an integral asset as backup power generation for the opening and closing ceremonies of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The subsequent work undertaken by Adler and Allan allowed for Environment Agency consent allowing marine storage of the integral units upon the River Lea.
LOCOG expressed their full satisfaction with Adler and Allan consultancy, management and positive outcome to the project.
