Adler & Allan wins BITC Award for its flood support service

Adler & Allan has won The Barclays Award for Building Resilient Business 2017, as part of the Business In The Community (BITC) awards, announced yesterday (6th July).

Recognised for our flood response, recovery and resilience program in Cumbria, following the devastating 2015/16 storms – Desmond and Eva – this prestigious award cements Adler & Allan’s position as the UK’s leading flood response and resilience expert.

We delivered emergency response and clean up during and after the floods, and via flood support centres set-up in affected areas, are providing advice and installs of flood mitigation measures, as well as helping eligible recipients access the government’s grants.

Commenting, Mark Calvert, CEO for Adler & Allan, said: “I would like to thank everyone at Adler & Allan involved in the project, in particular the team based in Cumbria, including individuals such as Rev Jonny Gios, who worked tirelessly alongside local community groups, and councils to help flood affected victims following 2015/16’s storms and who still continue to provide support for those affected.

“We feel honoured to be recognised as the winner of The Barclays Award for Building Resilient Business, it’s a great achievement, especially for the worthwhile cause of helping UK communities deal with and prepare for flooding events; something that is likely to affect more of us as heavy rainfall becomes more commonplace.”
