E&S Environmental, part of the Adler & Allan Group, scooped a highly coveted Runner-Up Award in the Innovation Category at this year’s 2009 UK Petroleum Retailing Industry Awards Dinner held at Coventry’s Ricoh Arena on October 15. Nominations were sought from individual or corporate members across 6 categories with the Innovation Winner and Runner-Up Awards presented for the innovation which will have the most significant impact on our industry sector.
The E&S award entry, Nobby Clarke’s Mobile Tank Cleaning Machine with Temporary Vent, is the most significant development from the company recently. This innovative piece of equipment, now in it’s 7th design iteration to successfully deal with water content in fuel, has helped most of the leading oil companies and major petrol forecourt retailers to continue trading as normal despite the issue of microbial contamination of storage tanks due to the recent introduction of bio-fuels.
The Mobile Tank Cleaning machine (MTC) was first introduced for fuel storage tanks with problems of microbial contamination. It’s been a huge success over the last 12 months on projects awarded to E&S from Shell, BP, Sainsbury’s, Asda and Malthurst for the removal of water from fuel in preparation for E5.
E&S are now part of the Adler and Allan Group who provide a diverse range of professional oil and environmental services to British industry. E&S and Adler and Allan share the same philosophy that business growth and success is based on building trust, delivering service excellence and providing innovative solutions to current issues.
