How did you get involved with Adler and Allan?

My journey at Adler and Allan began in the planned preventive maintenance department, providing valuable experience in the operations side of the business. Today, I'm an Operations Assistant based at our Rainham depot, working exclusively for one of our major clients in the contracts department.

In this role, I wear many hats, overseeing all aspects of our client contract. This includes ensuring we seamlessly support their operations, assisting them with regular reporting and KPI monitoring. With a strong understanding of both the client and our service offerings, I work to create the perfect alignment between their needs and the most suitable services from Adler and Allan. Additionally, I'm responsible for compiling their waste notes and coordinating various teams within the company to optimise delivery schedules.

What did you do before Adler and Allan?

Prior to joining Adler and Allan, I spent over a decade at Carpetright, honing my skills in operations and planning. My role involved ensuring fitters had the right materials and were deployed to the correct locations. While the transition to Adler and Allan initially presented a steep learning curve, it has been incredibly rewarding, allowing me to expand my knowledge and explore different aspects of the business.

What excites you about coming to work?

The opportunity to learn something new each day and the sheer variety of tasks I encounter. I am particularly motivated by the chance to play a key role in ensuring our client remains compliant and receives the best possible value for their investment. Every day brings something different, and I thrive on the challenge of problem-solving and delivering solutions under pressure.

What are your hobbies and interests?

While my personal life has recently undergone a significant change with the arrival of my baby last year, I'm learning the art of juggling 'mom life' and 'work life'. When I do have some free time, I love spending time with my friends and indulging in my passion for travel. New York City holds a special place in my heart, and I dream of taking my little one on their first adventure there someday.

What’s next for Jess in 2024?

As we move into 2024, I'm excited about the prospect of helping further develop and expand the contract with our current client. Additionally, I can’t wait to take my baby on their very first holiday, creating lasting memories and embarking on a new family adventure together.
