Capability

Our mass spectrometers quantify and identify organic compounds such as mercury to parts per billion.

All our waste technicians are accredited by the Chartered Institute of Waste Management (CIWM) to correctly classify and code hazardous waste to regulations including WM3.

Analysis

We conduct analysis of packaged waste on arrival at our in-house laboratories or provide courier services to bring samples back for analysis.

In the event of an emergency, where waste has been fly-tipped or is a public or environmental health hazard, we can have mobile chemists on site within two hours.

They will characterise the waste (as corrosive, flammable etc) so we can remove it from your site quickly and safely, minimising environmental damage and operational downtime.

We’ll then analyse it in more depth in our state-of-the-art laboratories to identify the best method of processing and disposal.

Technical support

Once your waste has been categorised our experts will provide you with a solution for removing and disposing of your waste safely, compliantly, and sustainably.

Our experts can provide a range of additional technical guidance and support from completing waste control forms to hazardous waste consultancy.

External DGSA advisors

Under ADR, organisations that pack, consign, load, or carry dangerous goods by road, rail or inland waterways must employ a DGSA to monitor compliance.

With multiple experienced advisors in-house, we can act as your consultant DGSA, giving you access to the professional advice and guidance you need from spill management to correct labelling of vehicles.

CoTC Cover

Waste management and recycling facilities are legally required to have a Technically Competent Manager (TCM) on site for the number of operating hours required for their facilities tier.

When a competent manager isn’t in place due to staff turnover or absence we can step in, providing the necessary CoTC cover so you can meet your obligation and avoid the unlimited fines that can be otherwise imposed.

Waste management consultancy

When dealing with contaminated land, we can sample soil to classifying whether the material is inert, non-hazardous, or hazardous in order identify an appropriate disposal route. We can also help you devise a sustainable waste management plan to deal with excess soil produced during development projects.
