The Water Jetting Association

The WJA has always been concerned with safety and training within the water jetting industry, including ultra-high pressure, high pressure, pressure washing and drain and sewer cleaning. As a consequence two WJA Codes of Practice – Blue and Red – were evolved through the WJA Technical Committee with the valued assistance of the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).

National Petroleum Management Association

The National Petroleum Management Association (NPMA) is a non-profit, educational and professional membership “service oriented” society dedicated to providing professional status for qualified fuel handlers. NPMA collects, interprets, and disseminates information relating to safe, efficient and cost effective petroleum operations and maintenance support. The association encourages industry – government dialogue to achieve these objectives.

Royal Yachting Association Training Centre

Adler & Allan have been certified to provide training in the following areas: Powerboat courses Level 1 & 2. Theory Courses: Marine Radio Short Range Certificate Course.

The Nautical Institute

Adler & Allan have been certified to provide Oil Spill Response Training Courses at the following levels: MCA 1/1P, MCA2/2P, MCA 3/3P (IMO level 1 equivalent), MCA 4/4P (IMO level 2 equivalent), MCA 5/5P (IMO level 3 equivalent, and Refresher training.


CEMARS is the first global greenhouse certification standard to be accredited to ISO 14065. It is also approved by the UK Environment Agency as a Carbon Trust Standard equivalent and an Early Action Metric in the CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme. CEMARS is also a recognized verification standard under the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP).

The Chartered Institution of Wastes Management

The Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM), is the professional body which represents waste professionals working in the sustainable waste and resource management sectors worldwide. CIWM sets the professional standards for individuals working in the industry and has various grades of membership determined by education, qualification and experience.

The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme

CHAS is established as the market leader for health and safety pre-qualification in the UK. It is a non-commercial scheme available to suppliers (those who provide goods and services) and to organisations (buyers) looking for suitably competent suppliers.

Association for Petroleum and Explosives Administration

The APEA is a UK based organisation, drawing membership from all quarters of the petroleum industry, including Regulators from National and Local Government Authorities, Oil Companies, Equipment Manufacturers and Suppliers, Service and Installation Organisations, Training Establishments and many others. It is seen to be unique in representing all sides of the industry and in providing a forum for debate and the generation of technical guidance.

UKSpill Association

The UK Spill Association (UKSpill) represents companies, organisations and individuals working in the oil spill industry in the UK and is recognised by the UK Environmental and Maritime Regulators as the national industry body for the commercial and related interests of the industry.
