UKAS accredited Nationwide road tanker inspection & testing services

Adler & Allan group company, E&S Environmental, provides independent road tanker inspection, testing and certification services. E&S Environmental Services Ltd is one of only a handful of companies in the UK to meet the stringent standards of UKAS (0311 Type C Inspection Body Accredited to ISO/IEC 17020:2012)  accreditation, providing an independent road tanker inspection testing and certification services and is accredited to perform Vapour Tightness Testing, Intermediate and Periodic inspection and testing, using fully trained and experienced inspectors, covering all locations in the UK.

Road tanker inspection and testing can either be completed on site, or at one of E&S’ nominated workshops. We have developed unique methods of testing some components in situ to avoid the need for removal for bench testing, offer a full fleet management service for any size of operator and can hold our clients’ fleet details on a secure database, enabling us to take responsibility for ensuring that all tests are carried out on schedule. Clients have password-protected database access to view their fleet information, including test results and certificates.

UK  Inspection and Testing

We are accredited to perform 6 yearly Periodic, 3 yearly Intermediate & 2 yearly VTT using fully trained and experienced Inspectors covering all UK locations.

Inspection can be conveniently carried out at clients’ premises or nominated workshops.

2 Yearly Vapour Tightness Testing

We can carry out and certify vapour tightness testing to comply with current legislation for Safe Loading Pass.

  • Vapour Tightness Testing (VTT) and certification to comply with current legislation for Safe Loading Pass, necessary every two years. Our Inspectors are accredited by the FTA to issue Safe Loading Passes for all types of fuel road tankers

3 Yearly Intermediate Tanker Testing

Intermediate tank testing using gas to ensure the integrity of the barrel from both external and inter-compartmental leaks, current legislation allows this to be carried out at up to 3 yearly intervals; however it is common industry practice to have this test carried out at 2 yearly intervals in line with the Vapour Tightness Test.

  • Intermediate tank testing using gas to ensure the integrity of the barrel from both external and inter-compartmental leaks. Current legislation stipulates that this should be carried out at up to three yearly intervals, however it is common industry practice to complete this every two years, in-line with the VTT.

6 Yearly Periodic using Gas or Water

Periodic Hydraulic Tank Testing using gas/water ensures the integrity of the barrel from both external and inter-compartmental leaks, current legislation all tanks are subject to this testing procedure.

We are accredited to use gas for 6 yearly testing in the UK, unlike traditional water testing; using gas eliminates the risk of water cross contamination and potential biofuel fungal issues, thereby reducing your business costs and environmentally friendly in avoiding unnecessary wastage of water and disposal costs. We can carry out gas testing at client’s premises, saving on fuel costs and reducing tanker off road time.

All our Inspectors are accredited by the FTA to issue Safe Loading Passes for all types of fuel road tankers.
