Celebrating our Rising Star: Jack Anderson

That’s why we’re so proud of Jack Anderson, Project Manager at Group company MEL Environmental Solutions, who was honoured with the prestigious ‘Rising Star’ award at the UK & Ireland Spill Association Annual Awards.

Introducing Jack

Jack Anderson joined the MEL Environmental Solutions team as an Environmental Technician in October 2022 after achieving a bachelor’s degree in geography at Ulster University and a master’s from Queen’s University Belfast.

Jack carried his passion for learning into the commercial world, kickstarting his working life with MEL Environmental Solutions and swiftly furthering his professional development.

In three short years, Jack advanced from Environmental Technician to Assistant Project Manager, proactively expanding his skill set and gaining valuable technical and operational experience.

Leadership in a key role

For the past 12 months, Jack has worked as a fully-fledged Project Manager, providing robust and reliable leadership in one of MEL Environmental Solutions' most critical client-facing positions.

Recognising the wide-ranging demands of the role, Jack has tirelessly built on his impeccable report-writing skills, using drive and ambition to sharpen his environmental, construction, and customer service capabilities.

His initiative has set him apart. Jack has achieved recognition for his exceptional attention to detail, CAD drawing skills, and report writing ability.

Client engagement excellence

Beyond his impressive technical talents, Jack consistently wins hearts and minds with his friendly, approachable personality and his unique ability to communicate calmly and efficiently in potentially stressful situations.

An expert in effective client engagement, Jack frequently earns glowing customer feedback praising his responsiveness, diligence, and dependability.

At any time, Jack juggles the demands of 10-14 ongoing remedial projects – but meets even the toughest service-level agreement with expertise, enthusiasm, and his signature smile
